Rotary Family
Derby Daybreak is one of over 1,800 Rotary clubs based in Great Britain and Ireland which in itself is part of an international network of men and women who are inspired to change the lives of our communities.
We are known as Rotarians and have over 1.2 million members young and old across the globe. There are 34,000 rotary clubs spanning 200 countries around the world.
Rotary was the world's first service organisation where still today members join because they believe in 'Service Above Self'.
Being a member of Rotary is not just about charitable and fundraising work, part of its ethos is about enjoying the friendship and fellowship of others both in each club and the wider world of Rotary.
Rotarians often form strong and long lasting friendships through their shared time and commitment.
So although our club has a small but active membership we are part of a global organisation that can, and does, change lives for the better. One of the campaigns that Rotary has pioneered for the last 10 years is the eradication of polio worldwide.
