Nightingale MacMillan Unit at the Royal Derby Hospital
(2009-10)This unit has re-located from it's original location on London Road in the centre of Derby, to a new purpose built facility at the Royal Derby Hospital located on the west side of the city.
The unit provides the highest quality of care for end of life patients, and although it's a brand new build, there are still extras in the form of equipment and services that can help make things that little bit better.
Following the huge success of the charity concert at Derby cathedral in January 2010, the club were proud to be able to present a cheque for £8,500 to the Macmillan Unit. It was used to purchace lifting and mobility aids which will many patients and carers will benefit from over time.

Friends of Kenya's Children
In 2008 we made a donation to the Friends of Kenya's Children following a visit and talk from the Secretary of the charity.
All of our members were very moved by the story and photos which illustrated the desperate need of the orphaned and abandoned children in the Lowar and Eldoret region of Kenya.
We are pleased to hear that our donation plus those of others has helped this small charity provide food and essentials for the children, and we would encourage others to visit the FKC website and find out more about their work.
